Blessed With Full Assurance

Thank you Lord!

Drawing Closer to Christ

Hebrews 10:22 NIV, “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings…”

One of the many treasures of living our lives in Christ is the full assurance that having faith in Him brings. This assurance isn’t based on circumstances, and it isn’t based on our own abilities. It’s based on who He is. We are able to have complete confidence in Him, because of His flawless character. Things don’t have to make sense to our natural minds, because His wisdom and knowledge far outweigh our own.

Nothing can replace the full assurance we receive from having God’s love surround us. We can be honest with Him about our feelings. We can give all our doubts and fears to Him in prayer, and He will give us His perfect peace. He holds our future and He holds our hand as we walk…

The Breath Of Life…

Genesis 1:24-25 KJV

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Dedicated to my beloved “Sky Kitty” who passed away July 13th, 2019 of old age. She was over 2 decades old. I miss her dearly.

The Bible tells us that God made every living thing in the book of Genesis, including man of course. In these first few verses God lets us know His creation is “good”. And, while the fall of man affected all of creation including our beloved pets, animals, and even our planet, at the passing of my gentle, attentive, loving and faithful “Sky Kitty” I am reminded that she was filled with the “breath of life” that God imparted to every living thing.

It is not my intent to infer, teach, or speak on the subject of animals in heaven here, I’m just giving thanks to the Lord for the comfort some of them bring to our lives, more particularly “Sky Kitty” who always greeted me when I came home, was always faithful, comforting, and ready to cuddle nearby or in my lap. My point is simple, in that our pets are gifts from God, given to us by Him, endowed with His “breath of life” to enrich our lives. Thank you Lord for “Sky Kitty”! I miss her so much!

The top photo shows “Sky Kitty” and my young cat named “Moo” snuggling, while the bottom picture is of “Moo” staking her proprietary claim on one of my legs.

I hope you will forgive some of my silliness as an old geezer! But, I am thankful for the love of God that is given to us also in the little things like the animals that are special to us. Especially the furry fluffy kind!

The Separation of God and The People…

God Bless You, and God Bless America! Today I have a short message regarding the so called notion of what is called “The Separation of Church and State” and how it relates to us as Christians.

You may have been taught that politics and religion don’t mix. And, in today’s world it is oftentimes easy to think they have little to do with one another. This is probably because of the distortion of Thomas Jefferson’s thoughts on the subject.

I understand it is wonderful to share spiritual matters, ideas, thoughts, and things that edify the body of Christ. We must always do this. However, I believe we must not do them to to the exclusion of dealing with practical matters that affect the church and our society as a whole.

So what am saying? It’s simple really. It is my contention that we as Christians have a moral obligation to attend to practical matters that affect the church at large. And, how certain ungodly organizations have worked to distort what Jefferson meant by the idea of separation of church and state to pollute our thinking in a way that is designed to prevent us from doing just that.

Such distorted teachings and thinking will affect us for generations to come. And, the effects won’t be good! Worse yet, the distortion is growing ever more evil in the minds of people and especially unbelievers whereby they accept the lies in place of godly truths.

I’m pretty sure that those of you who are Christians at some point have been asked to pray for our country and its leaders. Excellent! However, just like praying for the hungry and or destitute and naked is good, remember the Bible asks us what good is it if we do this yet do nothing to feed and clothe and help them if we are able?

Romans 13:1 New King James Version (NKJV)

What does the Bible say?

13 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

John 19:11 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

So then, I ask you honestly; are we not then just as obligated to do what is right, just, and holy by acting whenever we can in a practical fashion to affect the morality of our nation? Or, shall we simply sit by and mutter a few prayers in theory only? Or, perhaps you’re sincerely praying? Yet, I ask again, does God not require us to do our part?

While you can clearly see in Romans 13:1 in the last part of the verse that rulers do not rule without God appointing them, one must consider all the Bible teaches on the subject. If you are a Christian you already know if a ruler wants you to to violate God’s will you are to obey God rather than man. Consider the rather stunning reply from Schadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to Nebuchadnezzar!

Daniel 3:16-18 King James Version (KJV)

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

So then, what exactly is “our part”? Obviously prayer is an integral part of it. But, yet it is a real part. Not a weak half attempt. After all, the world is “supposed” to get worse during the “end times” isn’t it? Even so, that does not exempt us from resisting evil where we find it.

While it’s easy to pray for our national leaders who readily come to mind what about prayer for leaders at the local level? Councilmen? School board members? Is it any wonder or local schools are teaching against God?

In John 19:11 Jesus clearly said those rulers in power were only allowed rule over him to do what they would because God allowed it. In other words, God uses such men oftentimes in spite of themselves.

In Daniel 3:16-18 those three hebrew men simply stated they didn’t even have to think about it before giving the king his answer! They would follow God!

Now, with regards to prayer. Shouldn’t we be praying for godly candidates? Rather than waiting until election night and then voting for the lesser of two evils?

Of course there is an obvious problem. That is the overall wretched moral state of the population of our country at large. It seems almost as if while in decades past Christianity was out on the mission fields of other countries we literally let our nation backslide and did little to oppose the great evils of abortion, immorality, and such to gnaw at our nations heart.

You see, if we ask ourselves why we get so many immoral men as leaders of our country there can be only one obvious glaringly simple answer. It is because our citizenry is corrupt in such numbers as to created a dark murky pool of potential candidates. If our citizens are not godly men and women how can we expect wise godly men as leaders of our nation?

Some of you are undoubtedly shaking your head in disbelief by now. You are protesting that God Isn’t supposed to have anything to do with It. I tell you plainly and simply, you could not be more wrong. Further, if that is what you believe, you are actually part of the problem.

How could we miss that which is so simple? We need godly Christian men and women to seek public office. That it seems they often shy away from such duties is partially due to the distortion of the separation of church and state doctrine.

Do not be fooled! Thomas Jefferson believed in God! Thomas Jefferson never intended the distortion of church and state to become what it is today. We must oppose the liars. When our founding fathers created and crafted this nations ideology it was upon God’s principles! Do not be so easily deceived.

The tower of London, partially shown above still stands today. Thousands flock to the historical site where various people were put to death for various crimes against the crown long ago. It was as if England see-sawed back and forth between Catholic and Protestant rulers. Whatever the King or Queen in power favored was often at the expense of the religion currently in disfavor. Often heads were lopped off rather indiscriminately.

This is what our founding fathers were trying to prevent. Our founding documents with regards to religion were intended to protect us from our government not to be used to separate us from God! We were to have no “official” religion such as Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, etc…

However, belief in the one and only true God of the Bible and Jesus was not to be prevented nor were we to be separated from that basic belief for if it was, then atheism would have been adopted as a tenet and become our de-facto “religion”. Clearly, any fool can tell by reading the Constitution of The United States, that God was very much a part of it because it referred to our rights being imparted upon our citizenry by God Himself and NOT mere mortal men! Nobody dare argue then that it was intended to be used to separate us from God.

You see, as it currently stands the current vile distortion we call the separation of church and state and how we now think of it actually does something entirely different! As it stands now, this evil doctrine as distorted by fools and evil men, actually works to separate God from the people. It works incessantly to remove any reminder such as the cross, or an reference to God from public places, civic mindedness, court rooms, and more with the sole purpose of eradicating God from our society, our hearts, and our minds.

Make no mistake. Everything Godly is now under direct attack. Many of our colleges and universities have been corrupted for evil. People are opposing good and becoming champions of evil, demonstrating for the right to sin and working to enact laws that protect immorality. This must be seen for what it is. Free speech may not exist much longer. It is now opposed by many. And those who would rule will not tolerate any viewpoint other than theirs. Soon, you may not be able to speak the truth. For if you do, you will risk prosecution for “hate speech”. Eventually citizens will have everything decided for them. What to think, what to read, what to say, and yes, even what to believe! Does this not sound like the anti-christ system to you?

By now you are probably scoffing at me. Yet, I hope not. These things are real. And, while you are going about your daily lives Satan and these evildoers are working feverishly to bring what I have described to you into reality. It is already to a significant part already here. You say it can’t happen because this is America isn’t it?

And, I ask you… If truly godly men refuse to step forward and volunteer for public service in office do you think that a void is not then left to be filled by evildoers? Do not think Satan and his minions stupid. Anyone can easily understand if you want to overthrow our godly ideology one must overrun our leadership openings with those who hold false views and worship false gods.

I know that some of this isn’t pleasant to think about. It doesn’t seem uplifting. I get that. But unless you want to leave open the possibility of parts of our nation being under things such as Sharia law, where the true God of the Bible and His principles no longer apply I would suggest you give it some thought. Do not think it cannot happen here. It has happened in Europe. In Paris and London, despite the authorities refusal to acknowledge it. It is a possibility at the very least. Why? Because unless we have a truly godly nation or at the very least some truly godly men as leaders of our country the voids will be filled by those who are of false religions, atheist beliefs, champions of sinners rights, and evildoers. In fact, it is nearly inevitable if we do not act.

If so many of our nations leaders, and so many of the citizens were not so far from God, how then could we explain in any other fashion the atrocities of abortion being sanctioned by our country?

Yes, you can capitulate. You can throw up your hands and declare it’s too late. Perhaps you are right. Nevertheless, I personally do not feel morally excused from at the very least doing whatever I can to oppose these great evils. Sometimes that can simply consist of sharing words regarding the ongoing present great struggle of evil against good with others. Or, carefully choosing who you vote for. Or, financially supporting those who do fight the good fight. Do not so easily find rest while evil abounds!

In the months and years ahead I believe that if we do not oppose evil we will eventually come to the place where even Christian doctors will legally be required to perform abortions. Those doctors will then be forced to make the same choice Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had to make.

And, if it presently seems as if we have a moments reprieve from such evils, beware that you know it is only for a moment relative to eternity and that if we are reversing some such evils even in a small way, now is not the time to relax or refrain from pressing harder. But, rather all the more should we then press any small advantages we may currently gain in these matters.

And, perhaps above much else remember if we want to truly make America great again we must return to God! And, return to godly principles. For it is precisely God, and the principles of God that made our nation great first and foremost above all else. While it is agreed that our nation has always had it’s flaws, it must be acknowledged that it’s greatness has been self evident largely because of its reliance and acknowledgement of God. If we discard God and His principles we do in fact, doom ourselves to eventual destruction.

In closing I offer this humble warning. Look around you. What do you see?.And, why do you see it? Give that some thought when you see evil attacking our nations founding fathers with so called notions of fake morality. Clearly, give some thought before you send your children to disreputable colleges and schools where lies are taught and truth is attacked.

One of the favorite notions of evildoers today is to tear down the Christian founding fathers such as Thomas Jefferson. I have news for you. Jefferson did most certainly not father a child out of wedlock with a female child slave. For reference read the book “The Jefferson Lies” by David Barton. There simply isn’t room enough to explain further here.

In any case, please remember that so many of our “freedoms” exist precisely because of our nations adherence to principles laid down by the Bible and God. Therefore, if we turn from them we do so at great peril and with the assurance of our destruction. Even our nations bankruptcy code was modeled after the Biblical example of the year of the Jubilee where debts were forgiven. And the blessings we have received have been upon both believers and unbelievers alike.

I believe that never before in history save for the nation Israel has a country been so well founded on God and His principles. Whereas when other nations and principalities sought to keep the very Word of God from the population at large by those who professed religion in order that they could oppress their population and keep power for themselves at the expense of others, our nation protected the right to free speech thereby ensuring God’s Word, The Bible, be always available to men everywhere. This helped make our country great.

Do not, I entreat you; fail to do everything you can to fight evil in this matter. This time it is the handwriting of evil that is written upon the wall. And, that hand of evil will seek to outlaw the Bible itself using whatever means possible even via back door methods such as California’s SB 2943 that could be applied to classify it as “hate speech”.

Come quickly Lord Jesus!

The Ignorant Students And The Foolish Professors…

Romans 1:22 KJV… Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Are you a college student at a major university or other institute of supposed higher learning? Or, perhaps you already graduated a few years ago and are now confident you have life pretty much all figured out?

In that case, I am probably going to make you mad at me. Or, at least upset. However, if that is the case, so be it. Because you deserve to know the truth and the scales need to fall from your eyes.

Generally, I try to avoid using very short partial excerpts from Scripture and try to keep things in context. But, in this particular case I wish to use this one verse, Romans 1:22 as a label.

You see, when I think of college professors these days I do not tend to think of them primarily as men of wisdom, for most have none. I do not think of them as knowledgeable either, save some who are in certain disciplines perhaps such as the medical arts, the law, or physics, and things of that nature.

No, I cannot say with certainty that you or I will always learn great truths, grow in wisdom, or even learn great things should we sit under the tutelage of many professors. Indeed, I confess when I think of such men these days I think of the above mentioned excerpt from the Bible. This is because there are a great many professors who are fools. Hence, Romans 1:22 comes to mind.

Now, before we get too far along I will for the time being exempt professors in certain reputable Bible colleges and such, as well. While I’m sure there are some fools even in that arena, I am in essence, making a wide sweeping generalization. And, that is in essence exactly my intent.

Psalm 14:1 KJV… The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Have I startled you? After all, I Imagine if you have attended college it was at considerable expense and effort. Let me be allowed to further disturb your inner being for a few moments if you will allow it? If I propose, as I most certainly do, that many professors are indeed foolish or outright fools themselves, then it follows that students who have sat under such men to learn are in fact, “ignorant”. This would be due to the mis-education of the students. (Perhaps a refund might be due to some students. Try flying that notion at the admissions office!).

The truth is if your professor, teacher, educator, or other person teaching you doesn’t believe in God, he or she is a type of fool. I can hear you already! You are saying “Wait a minute!” and you may even be protesting rather loudly. You are going to ask how does believing in God have anything to to with education ?

It is precisely because you ask that question I know that you have been subjected to the teachings of at least some foolish professors at some godless institutions. You have indeed, been mis-taught, and in some cases intentionally fooled by your so called higher institutions of learning.

If a person who teaches you doesn’t believe in God, that person is already at a disadvantage because they do not hold a foundational truth inside them. You cannot understand our reality correctly without knowing God exists. And, if that person intentionally denies that God exists, he or she is a fool of sorts.

I can almost see you shaking your head and saying that cannot be true. But, it most certainly is. Now, that is not to say that such instructors cannot impart some things which you can learn. But, for the most part such teachers are at a disadvantage because their view of life will be distorted by their lack of understanding. You could even say they were to some degree, developmentally disadvantaged. This is because they will suffer a weak foundation in their minds as a result and not be able to interpret reality correctly.

But, let’s get back to education. Oftentimes it is what the foolish professors didn’t teach you that do the most harm. Did you know for example that public education was invented precisely to teach the Bible? Or that in most cases, the Bible was the first textbook used? Did you know that there was a period of time when theology was referred to as “The Queen of Sciences”? Are you aware that many of the “best” universities and colleges started as having religious beginnings? Harvard for example was started to train clergy. The list goes on. And, that list includes many schools who now seek the eradication of God from education.

May I interject at this point that in theory all students are in some sense ignorant. After all, this is why they seek to learn isn’t it? We are all ignorant about something. Ignorance of the fact of God’s existence is the supreme ignorance. And, I know you have probably been taught that it’s not possible to prove there is a God. Of course that is absurd and utter nonsense. I say this because there are many things in life I know that you already believe in that equate to the exact same situation as belief in God.

What I am saying is this. Inside your mind you accept as “proof” certain things such as evidence, experience, history, feelings, and such and are convinced of “facts” because of them, and so you choose to “believe” these things have been “proved”. Perhaps you are married and because of certain things you feel, or things your spouse has done, you are convinced that is “proof” he or she loves you? This is an example of a certain type of methodology whereby you accept as proof the love your spouse has for you is real. You cannot take your spouse’s love to the science lab to examine it although certain side effects of people’s emotional well being have been studied.

You accept there was a president named Lincoln who was assassinated because of historical records don’t you? The Bible is a historical record of God’s love for you. What I am saying here is that perhaps you should consider as “proof” of God’s existence some of the same things you use to prove other things as facts to yourself. In other words, why would you not use the same methodology?

Now, before you jump off the rails and come at me I want you to understand that the universe itself is hard evidence that God is very real. To think otherwise is the result of the teachings of foolish men teaching foolish things. Do not be misled! Einstein believed in God. As did Galileo, Faraday, Copernicus, and even Da Vinci. ( It is now known that much gossip was accorded Da Vinci, but his actual objections were similar to that of Martin Luther, and that he was simply a pre- reformationist of sorts.)

My point is that you as a student were mislead carefully and sometimes discreetly by ungodly, and in some cases unethical men and that they taught falsehoods to you in the name of higher education. Many of these men are anti-God or anti-Christ. Professing themselves wise they gave you a false truth. In effect, you have been carefully culled, decieved, and indoctrinated to believe there is no proof God exists. If that sounds like “brainwashing” that’s because it is. Certain people with vested interests have been working very hard to eradicate the knowledge of God from our society . Various people are doing this due to self interests too. Selfishly they seek to substitute a different belief system as your “religion” and turn you away from God. This is so they may have power and influence.

Also, know that this is being done in the political arena. There are those who simply can’t stand the notion of a country founded on Godly principles. Eradication of God from our educational system is one of the most powerful tools they have to use in order to manipulate your mind.

King James Bible Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Simply put, many students have been fooled and many of our colleges and universities have become overrun by godless fools teaching foolish things. They do not believe in God so these men lack wisdom. How then would they aptly teach you?

In modern terms what I am referring to here is the worldview you or they hold. Does your worldview rest on being educated by ungodly foolish men ignorant of the truth of God’s existence?

Where did this term “worldview” even come from for that matter? Were you indoctrinated with the word whilst attending university? Did some seemingly wise professor of some renown cunningly explain the worlds belief systems were simply small and inadequate? And, that you needed to look at the “bigger picture”? He or she then probably followed up with teaching you their own flawed version of reality. Were you even coerced perhaps? Many have been.

The term “worldview” while seemingly inoffensive, is part and parcel of a vocabulary developed over the last few decades to facilitate your being deceived and to facilitate the removal of the wisdom of God from people’s minds.

Yes, there really is an entire vocabulary system deliberately contrived to assure that evil thinking displaces godly thinking in our minds. The term “worldview” is closely associated with the anti-christ globalist viewpoint.

Rest assured, God is the only one who has the full true complete and entire view of this world and its inhabitants! Did God ever tell Adam & Eve to have a worldview? Of course not. But, if you insist may I suggest the only way to correctly do so is from within the framework of Christianity and acknowledgement that God is real?

Let me explain. When man establishes a view or belief there is no God he thereby stunts his ability to correctly interpret reality. But, when he carries that belief in his mind to the point that he or she believes that they “know” that their worldview is the only truth, or is best for the whole world they are in effect attempting to displace God from His throne and His rightful place in this reality.

Strictly speaking, God is the only one who is “entitled” to hold a worldview in a literal sense because He created it! We may have opinions but compared to the wisdom and knowledge of God they are rather small. It is only in surrender and submitting to God can we find true reality and see factual reality. This is true because we were created to fellowship with God and experience reality within the confines of His love, knowledge, and wisdom.

May I simply and bluntly say that we were never intended to rule our own planet as mere mortal sinful, imperfect beings? And, plainly put when all of the facts are known, and the smokescreen of wretched wrong teachings are removed, that it is plainly stupid to think there is no God.

The Warmth of The Spirit… The Light Of His Love…

King James Version
John 16:7…
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

King James Bible 1St John 1:7…
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If I only had one chance to tell you something I really wanted you to know before the end of the world what do you think that it would be? Or, what would you tell me?

Obviously, I can’t speak for you. In fact, what I am thinking of seems so profound to me I can’t imagine words exist for the message I would want to communicate to you. Yet I would try to make you understand somehow.

It has to do with God of course. But how could I find the right words to communicate all that God is so that you would turn to His love and Him before it was too late?

In my mind I see images of a warm fire but does not consume. I can feel the warmth of His Spirit surrounding me in a comforting warmth. I am safe. I am loved. I live with the very Spirit of God within me for all eternity. I smile at you and yield to The Spirit and invite you to surrender to His love. But, I am not uttering spoken words. How can any mere words explain The Holy Spirit? In my heart am urging you to surrender to His Spirit by accepting Christ.

Suddenly, in my mind an image forms of a single flame that is also comforting yet it illuminates everything without any harsh glare. And, in that instance I understand what we were meant to be for all eternity. I beckon to you and you nod and begin to surrender yourself to Christ and God and His Spirit. Slowly I watch you as your spirit yields to Him and you are swept away in the absolute perfection of God’s Spirit.

Suddenly, on the horizon the heavens are filled with sharp brilliant points of light as Christ Himself appears as a trumpet unlike any other ever heard before sounds.

King James Bible. 1St Thessalonians 4:16…
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

To those on the earth time passes, yet somehow in the illumation of the Light in His presence everything is eternally now. Time does not exist.

King James Bible Revelations 19:11…
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

My heart leaps within me as I pray earnestly that somehow I have communicated all that I need to so that you will not hesitate. Not even for a moment, before yielding to The Holy Spirit and the love of Christ. I can see Jesus now and He is sitting upon a white horse. I cannot stop myself from weeping! In that moment I realized how shallow life was before Christ dwelled within me.

Faithful and True! The very essence of those words is before me in the person of Jesus. And, I understand the true depth of the meaning of those words in a deeper way I never could before.

No words can adequately convey this message by themselves. Only through The Holy Spirit can you spiritually understand the message my heart is trying to share with you. You must see with spiritual eyes to understand. Without accepting Christ you cannot.

All of what The Spirit is saying is as if all is concisely within a moment. This is the way reality and our relationship with God was meant to be!

How could I ever, using just mere words convey the love and beauty of Christ you would miss out on should you reject Him? Or, the completeness within your very soul that will be when we come face to face in the resurrection with Jesus?

King James Bible 1St Corinthians 15:52…
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

First we are raptured into His presence, in the twinkling of an eye! We are changed eternally and become all we were ever meant to be.

While my human mind can’t always fathom how such things can be? I know I am forevermore with the Lord. And, for those left behind a period of time passes. Certainly I know Christ returns as he promised.

Can you not see? How could I convey all that is necessary to you so that you knew all the facts and understood what was at stake?

And, then finally it comes to me! I must pray! Urgently! For your heart to be touched by His love. For your mind to become illuminated by His Spirit. For you to surrender to Him, and He will explain everything you need to know.

I have often wept when stopping to think of the terrible tragedy of even a single life or soul eternally separated from God. Say what you will about the lake of fire, punishment and all. Nothing compares to the misery at the thought of eternal separation from God.

All my feeble attempts at words to make you understand the totality of the situation and of reality itself are as ashes compared to The Holy Spirit speaking to you from within Anything I speak or say is but dust next to the still small voice of God speaking to your soul.

And so, in the end I yield and say a final prayer that you will allow God to reveal Himself to you fully in every way to your heart and soul. Because I know His Word in your heart is all that you need.

Surrrender! Surrender to Him, I beseech you! If you don’t understand my words, seek His! Open your heart and soul to Jesus. Surrender to His divine love for all eternity.

May God richly bless you spiritually as you seek Him. He is the very meaning of life eternal. Would that I could take your hand wherever you are right now and lead you to God. But, there is a person who can, far better than I, lead you to eternal life and love! His name is Jesus!

Church-ian-ity…?

I heard a Newsmax commentator the other day mentioning how many Americans here in the United States identify as Christian. It was a large number. Nearly 70% if I remember correctly. If I’m wrong, let me know. In any case, it was a substantial number.

I can’t help wondering though what that means? They “identify” as Christians ? All kidding aside, if you are a Christian who has accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour obviously you are a Christian.

But, I seriously doubt that 70% of people in this country are born again. They just “identify” as Christians for the sake of the pollsters question because they… attend church? Figure God must be up there somewhere? Follow a loose moral code version of Christian conduct? Or, was it posed as a multiple choice question and “Christian” was the best closest answer by process of elimination ?

I have to say it. Forgive me. But, if 70% of the U.S.A. were born again there couldn’t possibly be the level of political corruption that there is in our country. Abortion never would have been declared legal because the population wouldn’t have tolerated it. And, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in.

So what then? How many of those folks even attend church? Regularly? How many of them pray? Regularly? Now, I’m going to stick my neck out with a wild guess. Let’s say 25% of that 70% actually go to church. So what?

What I mean to say is, if you are one of those folks I’m wondering if you understand that going to church doesn’t actually make you a Christian?

What I am trying to do here is snap some people out of their wrong thinking. Have you been going to church weekly for years? But, you are only a theoretical Christian? In other words you follow the doctrine of Churchianity? You go because you were taught to go. Or, you go because your spouse or other family member has twisted your arm and you are expected to go? Maybe you honestly think that’s all you’re supposed to do? Or, maybe you think all you have to do is show up, listen to the sermon and follow that guy in the pulpit?

These are all forms of what I call “Church-ian-ity”. And, unfortunately for you your efforts have largely been wasted if you have never sincerely prayed to accept Christ.

I have this awful feeling that a huge percentage of that 25% out of the supposed 70% the news anchor mentioned according to the poll are indeed, simply engaged in “Church-ian-ity”. Or, a great deal of those 70% are only theoretical Christians. God and Christ are nothing more than an abstract idea in their minds. Jesus has little practical application in their lives.

I’m probably going to get some of you mad at me for saying this, but if you are going to a spiritually dead church led by a spiritually dead minister and you haven’t a clue who Jesus truly is; you “almost” might as well not bother! Your religion is in vain. I say ” almost” only because there’s a slim possible chance if you hear a Bible verse and actually receive it into your heart you could be affected and find Christ as your Saviour. That would require at least a measure of sincerity on your part too.

Other than that I have some rather bad news for you. You can go to church, sort of believe God might be “out there” and still be fond of those Bible “stories” you heard as a kid, but you really aren’t a Christian! There is no such thing as being “sort of” a Christian.

Revelations 3:16 KJV

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

The idea here is that in this verse, God, or Jesus is disgusted with lukewarm Christians.

Let’s read more of this in context…

Revelations 3:14-22

14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

You may attend church and even give great sums of money to the institution of church. It means nothing with regards to your salvation. Have you ever even given any thought to salvation? As it pertains to you personally?

Or, are you just coasting along assuming that you kind of feel like a pretty good person so you should make it into heaven right?

Sorry, it just doesn’t work that way. Now, don’t blame me. Take a look at verse 20 in the 3rd chapter. That’s Jesus knocking on the door of your heart asking for a real relationship with you. Think about this. Heaven is for eternity right? If we go there it’s as a guest of Jesus. Suppose you were to open your home up to invite me in? Don’t you usually do that because you “know” me?

Grant it, there can be situations whereby people allow strangers in their home. God’s not going to do that in the case of heaven because he doesn’t want it polluted with sin. Anyway, the real point I’m trying to make here it that your version of Church-ian- ity isn’t going to cut it.

Romans 3:23 tells us we are all sinners. So, don’t be embarrassed. We are all in the same boat. John 3:16 tells us “whosoever will” can be saved because God loves us and gave His Son Jesus to cover our sins and imperfections.

Here is where I am going with this. Can I ask you to please put aside the foolishness of Church-ian-ity? Can you please give Jesus serious consideration? All those silly naive reasons you “consider” yourself a “Christian” mean absolutely nothing if you haven’t humbled yourself sincerely and asked Jesus into your heart as Lord and Saviour .

It doesn’t matter how many candles you’ve lit. Or, how much cash you dropped in the church coffers. It all depends on your true and sincere acceptance of Christ alone and nothing else. You cannot and have not earned your salvation.

What’s more is, aside from salvation; by accepting Christ you have a marvelous opportunity to draw close to Him and love Him with all your heart. Will you do that right now? Just close your eyes and say a prayer in your own words. Nothing fancy. Just admit any wrongdoing you are aware of to Jesus and anything you’ve done to offend God.

Understand you have been separated from God by sin. Ask God for faith. He will give it to you. Invite Jesus in to your heart sincerely. Be open to His voice and the Holy Spirit. It’s not a matter of your grunting or moaning. No public display is necessary, although afterwards please share your conversion with someone you trust when you are comfortable doing that. (That’s a suggestion from me to you).

Or, you can of course continue to to turn God’s stomach so that he wants to vomit you out of His mouth. I wouldn’t do that if i were you. You do have a choice. Choose wisely.

2 Samuel | David’s Song Of Praise & Coming Of Christ?

Inside Cup

There’s been war, famine, death, discord, and so much more wrapped up in the book of 2 Samuel. It’s a nice and refreshing break to listen to David praise the Lord. As I read the chapter, I was very much surprised to see how this held tones of the end of times.

Today’s Reading | 2 Samuel Ch. 22

Who Is The Lord To Us

David sings this song after he had been delivered from his enemies, including Saul.

From verse 2 and 3 alone, David proclaims what the Lord is.

  • My Rock
  • My Fortress
  • My Deliverer
  • My Shield
  • Horn Of Salvation
  • Savior

Wow! What an amazing comfort.

Verses 4-6 David expresses how he was surrounded by death and trial. Yet he cried out to the Lord and was heard.

Coming Of Christ Visual

Verses 8-16 very much have a tone of what the coming of Chrst will be like…
