Have you ever tried to share Jesus with someone only to become discouraged by their response? Perhaps it wasn’t what you had hoped for. I certainly remember the pain I felt when someone I thought I knew actually spat upon my open Bible!
I have often thought amongst some of the saddest words ever spoken were Agrippa’s reply in Acts 26:28… when Agrippa said to Paul “almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian”…
In any case, my prayer for you is that you do not become discouraged as you seek to share Christ not only through words but also deeds and that although you presently may not see any positive results, remember sometimes it is the unseen changes in a persons life that are the deepest and that in the end it is The Holy Spirit that does the actual conversion work. We only sometimes get to be presenters of His Word, or speak by our God inspired actions instead. You may not see the results of your efforts for years if ever in this world. But, God sees them and knows your heart.
