Have you ever wondered what the Garden Of Eden was like? The Bible describes it as paradise. Imagine an environment so perfect and stunningly beautiful that you stand in awe at its creation. Genesis 2:8 tells us “The Lord God planted a garden in the east…”
From the beginning God had a plan and although the garden in Eden had not yet suffered the effects of Adam and Eve giving in to rebellion and temptation and was perfect the narrative suggests it was incomplete. What do you suppose would have happened if they had not sinned? They would most certainly would not have imparted sin to their descendants . Since God instructed them to be fruitful and multiply it would seem God’s garden would by necessity grow. We do not know, nor can we fully imagine what planet Earth would look like today without the fall of man and sin to influence it.
Revelations 21:1 KJV says “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
This indicates a new environment for us that will be so beautiful we cannot fathom it now. I believe all evil effects that creation has suffered will be erased and that God’s plan will come to fruition in absolute perfection. In other words, God will make perfect that which has suffered imperfection.
I am reminded as we are told in 1st Corinthians 2:9 that our eyes have not seen neither have we heard the things God has prepared for those who love God.
So it is, when faced with the reality of evil in today’s world; I pause to ponder and reflect that God will most assuredly make things right and perfect once again. I urge you to take this to heart and be strengthened by the promises of God. We will not have to spend eternity forever gazing upon evil, rather we will soak in the glory and perfection of God.
